If you’re ready to try something different in the way of online adult entertainment, you may find Hentai Video World a colorful alternative to the usual adult porn offerings.

Hentai is a style of animated erotic cartoon (or toon, if you will) deeply rooted in Japanese origins - in fact so rooted that often, as is the case with this site, most of the presentations have Japanese audio tracks. You can download and view English subtitles if you like.

Unlike the usual variety of filmed adult scenes, animation does lend itself to going beyond what is possible in real life. In many ways, more erotic and imaginative settings can be incorporated into Hentai. This includes science fiction backdrops and all sorts of imaginary erotic monsters and creatures in sexual scenarios. Now to the nasty part - the videos are mostly in AVI format (from 200-400 megabytes) and, if you’re anything like me when it come to tinkering with media file codecs, you may get just as frustrated as I did in making sure my system is set up to play the files correctly.

The main members page, does clearly outline all the codecs which need to be installed (wmv9 Codec, XviD Codec, DivX Codec, Matroska Codec - depending on Mac or PC), and they offer all the files you need with pointers on browsers best for viewing the videos, but it can still be a royal pain in the butt to get your media player set up just right (without breaking something else).

Codecs, and media player settings aside, there are about 100 gigabytes of downloadable animated movies available to members - but that’s it. Membership costs $29.95 for 30 days or $44.95 for 60 days, but you can get a three day trial to Hentai Video World for $9.95 if you go to the regular join/signup page and then hit the back button of your browser. Personally, I find it offensive when sites play pricing games with me (rather than showing all my options up front), but as these guys do, I strongly recommend that you only try the 3 day trial if you think Hentai is something you want to check out and see how that works out for you.
